Born in São Paulo, Jura Gomes started his musical career in Brazil. Initially on guitar, he later added electrical bass and percussion to his repertoire. Since 1990 he has lived in Europe and has expanded his career over here by being a true ambassador of the rich Brazilian music. Bárbara Cerón was born in Mexico City, where she studied the pedal harp. Besides the academic music, she also learned how to play the Mexican traditional harp "arpa jarocha¨. She obtained her two diplomas (in classical and baroque harp) at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague. Right now she is involved in many different projects but always focuses her repertoire on Latin-American contemporary and baroque music. Listen to her magical music and enjoy the wonderful sound.

Musicians improvise texts while the rapid heel tapping Jarocho dancer follows the music continuously. Harp and two different guitars, jarana jarocha and requinto jarocho, are the basic instruments of this authentic music. The most widely known son jarocho is a song you all know: La Bamba.
